Walter S. "Bud" Schoenberger was born in 1920 in Pittsburgh, Pa. and died in Orono, Maine in 1998. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and his doctorate from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. He was a professor of political science, specializing in international relations at the University of Maine in Orono.
